Union Point Northern Gateway Trail Network

The base was commissioned in 1942 and operated blimp patrols during the Battle of the Atlantic before its eventual closure in 1997; today the former runways and open fields are slowly being reclaimed by nature, with old barracks, bunkers, and roadways still visible as reminders of its military past.
