Burns Memorial Park

Located in Hingham, Burns Memorial Park is a 26 acre property with natural wetland habitats. The 0. 56 mile trail is ideal for hiking and picnicking. Part of the property overlaps the historic Tranquility Grove, once owned by the Thaxter brothers and used for church picnics and outdoor gatherings throughout the 19th century -- including an 1844 abolitionist rally, commemorated with a 175th-anniversary tribute held on the site in 2019.
