Damon’s Point

Located in Cohasset, Damon’s Pointwith natural wetland habitats. This trail system offers a pleasant recreational experience. The pier itself sits on the remains of an old railroad trestle, part of a bridge that carried the Duxbury and Cohasset Railroad (and later the Old Colony Railroad) across the water from 1871 to 1940 -- look across the river and you can still trace the route the trains once ran through the marsh toward the old Marshfield Hills station.
