Cole Conservation Land

Located in Carver, Cole Conservation Land is a 242 acre property featuring scenic pond views. The 3 mile trail is perfect for hiking. The main blue trail -- 2 miles long, starting as crushed stone before turning into a more natural forest path -- loops through the property and connects to a small, 5-acre cranberry bog still tended by volunteers and local commercial growers. Visitors particularly enjoy this destination during spring wildflowers season. An ancient Nemasket trail once passed through this land, and nearby Annasnappet Pond served as a central Native American gathering spot thanks to its sandy soil and natural spring -- a 1970s archaeological dig turned up ample evidence of that history.
